Campgrounds Within 5 Hours of Long Island
We've got a wide age range from toddlers, middle school age boys, middle aged adults and up to 70 year old grandparents. We've got 3 trailers and might need at least 2 cabins or a hotel near the camp...

Odetah Camping Resort in Bozrah, Connecticut might be good.
Wolf's Den Family Campground in East Haddam, Connecticut. We've been here many times and always enjoyed it. Gillette's Castle state park is nearby (very cool small "castle").
River Bend Campground in Oneco, Connecticut. It has been a few years since we've been here, but we've always had fun here. Dogs are very welcome. Not a really fancy place, but neat, clean, and the staff is great. Almost every weekend they have a theme - Cowboy Weekend is a hoot, and so is Halloween weekend. And relatively nearby in Brooklyn, Connecticut is a Buffalo farm that is cool to visit.
Looking for next year suggestions I believe.
