Been by but never camped there. Three NFS CG's there. I'd pick Blue Lake or Bear Lake over Puratoire CG. All up gravel roads four miles or so off paved CO 12. IIRC, there is a private RV park in LaVeta.
Another option is to camp in the Wet Mountains and and day trip. Several NFS CG's around Lake Isabel. Lakeview CG there has electric hookups. Nearby private Aspen Acres CG has FHU.
