Camping near Greenfield Village
Anyone have any recommendations for camping around Greenfield Village / Deaborn area ?

Camping, or a place to stay in your RV? Southeast Michigan has a whole lot more places for camping than for RVing.
Overnight RV parking, hookups:
Greenfield KOA
Camp Dearborn
Wayne County Fairgrounds
There is also a RV park towards Monroe, a bit further, but not a bad way to come into Dearborn, since it is more or less south and west of Detroit.
Camping:
Highland State Recreation Area
Brighton Recreation Area
Pontiac Lake Recreation Area
All are State Recreation Areas, with primitive campgrounds and modern campgrounds, reservations through the State Parks system. These are the ones close enough to the metro area that people do day trips. There are more large SRAs (Pinckney, Metamora, Island Lake, Kensington) with dozens of additional campgrounds, further out to the northwest, beyond Brighton, towards Flint, and west towards (and beyond) Jackson. But these are probably further than you want to drive, although not much more than 60 minutes from The Henry Ford.
