Camping Suggtions for Baker City, Oregon area please

Plan on a month long RV trip from Salem, Or. First stop would be around Baker city, Oregon for one night. Don't want to stay at a year a round homeless RV camp. Don't need the Hilton either. Just a clean spot were I don't have to stand guard all night. Have a 34 foot fifth wheel. Any suggestions please.
  • We just did that the end of this summer. Drove from Salem/keizer to Union Creek CG for two nights. Hard to beat it for the price. IIRC we got a Senior pass discount.
  • We have stayed in 2 different parks in Baker. Mt. View is a nice park, always a good stay. A-Frame Rv park also not a bad choice.
  • Salem is the drug capital of Oregon. Baker City is a nice place and very rural. It will give you no problems.
  • This May we stayed 2 nights at Mt. View RV Pk, 2845 Hughes Ln, Baker City, OR 97814. On the edge of town, clean, good staff, level sites, decent shade trees. There were a few worker guys across from us: out early and back at the end of their work day. We felt safe here and no problem returning if we pass through Baker City agIn.
  • Which route are you taking? Are you going straight east on OR 22 and US 20 or around the interstates?
  • USFS Union Creek is nice. Near Baker City on OR 7.
