What kind of state tax are you talking about?
I live in Florida I own homes and vehicles in another state. I pay property tax and registration fees. But I don't "file any state taxes as a "non-resident" ".
I'll likely have to do that this year due to a late bonus check from former employer. rules vary by state, I imagine.
