There are no parks in the immediate Franklin area. Have you checked the Good Sam trip planner to see what comes up for campgrounds? rvparky and rvparkreviews.com are a good source of info too. Also, civilwartraveler.com has very good info for the area. There are quite a few choices but they are not conveniently located. As for time to visit, spring comes about mid March for mild daytime temps but still cool nights. You never know what mother nature has in store though.
