If you are interested in the Civil War around the Nashville area, I would recommend one of the RV parks in Nashville, and day trips to whatever sites you would like to visit. Another good choice would be over towards Murfreesboro, where the cemetary and battlefield are. Lots more happened there than Franklin, and it is a short day trip over to Franklin. I am vary familiar with Civil War history around the Nashville area, and several nice RV parks there. PM me, for more info if you are interested.
