Check out Henry Horton State Park, Montgomery Bell State Park, Cedars of Lebanon State Park. The Stones River National Battlefield in Murfreesboro is a nice Civil War Park, Carnton Plantation in Franklin, TN. Chattanooga is only a two hour drive down the interstate, several Civil War areas there. Good day trips from any campground you choose.
