Is the beach only on the south side? If so how difficult is it to get there walking or biking?

Pretty sure ($100.00 bet) that you just walk on the side walk under the bridge to both beaches.

The south Beach has a locker room which will allow some relief from the beach the North side is just Beach with a much smaller parking lot on the West side of the bridge. (We have a family house in Rehoboth so I really seldom get to bring the Coach down anymore).

If you are into the wind and the sea mist it is a great spot - Sun rise sun set you get both along with the Beach the Bay and the Inlet. In the summer it is often a little Toasty as they have ZERO shade.

    BOL,

BOTH the North AND the South sides are on the ocean , separated by RT #1.. and the Inlet

  • The north side is newer and has larger sites. They are all nice. Mid October is BEAUTIFUL up there. Have fun!!!

The sites themselves are all about the same. I prefer to see if I can get one of the sites around the outside parameter just to have a little more illusion of open space.

The sites on the north side that front the water (not directly but across the path etc.) are nice for views of the inlet and part of the bay but are hard to get.

If you want to walk to the beach, you may want a site on the south side, closest to the bridge.

In June we had a site on the southeastern outside perimeter, and it was nice because we did not feel as cramped as sites in the middle. We were across from tenters instead of other RVs, and the marshland/bay is right behind the tent sites. It was still an easy walk to the beach. It's also right near the playground, if you have young children.

If you stay in the western portion of the CG, it can be quite a walk to the beach on the other side of Route 1.

All the sites are pretty much the same - and it will likely be the one that is available - still good numbers of people till November or later.

Depending on what you enjoy, I would look for something with a SUNSET VIEW - out the window. But that's just me.

    Google Map

    Enjoy the area,
