Naive to the sorta behavior/activity mentioned.

Only about a 3 hour drive to Redding.

So you think these pot farms are built right up to the road..complete with guard dogs and machine gun towers? Pot is legal now, and is largely grown indoors.

Not at all. Pulling off the road now days could get you in real trouble. They dont like strangers nosing sround their money. This time of year the whole area can be extremely dangerous.
