Feel lucky to be snowbird

Looking at the weather up north, especially back at my home in Northern Michigan, I feel blessed!

Its been in the low 80s here in mid FL, the nights in the 60s. Windows open at night, and I was on top the covers last night. The 7 day forecast is pretty much the same.

I just feel so thankful to be able to do it. I know the weather can change here anytime and hit me upside the head, but I'm very thankful.

I like this map (from right here on RV.net) that updates every hour. Need to watch it over the next several weeks to see where you need to snowbird for WARM WX, not just warmer than where you are from.
High today in Mission, TX.... 42 but heat wave coming mid week with a high of 63 before turning cold again.

  • We've been here in FL for one week as of yesterday. Sure can't beat this at all. We'll take this as long as we can keep doing it for sure.

X2 on never knowing what the weather will bring. Heck it might even get a couple degrees below freezing in central fla. How will you survive??? Lol

How about taking a fellow Michigander with you? :)

Hey Eric. Our rig is presently stored near Orlando airport. We took it down for the Homestead Miami Nascar race. Will reclaim it on January 2. Happy Holidays to you and Bev.
  • Thankful here in south TX also! We have had a temporary dip in the temps, but nothing like the midwest is seeing. Every time we look at the Weather Channel we cringe. We gladly gave our snow shovel away 5 years ago.
  • We're on hold till Dec 23 when DW Chemo treatments are done. We're in SE MI no snow or ice, and temperature to drop to around 20 tonight. Won't be above freezing for next 4 days. We'll be glad to head south.
