Fort wilderness Halloween weekend

This past weekend was our first time there for Halloween and I would highly recommend it if anyone is on the fence. Young or old, the decorations are incredible! Our kids were amazed, everyone was having fun and we must have walked 10 miles! A lot more entertaining than my very family friendly neighborhood that we live in. My 11 year old son was Walt Disney (mustache and all) that was a great custome, some people would my boss is back from the dead!

We called yesterday to book next year and they said it was all filled up! We bought our tickets for this year last September, I really didn't think they would be filled up already, but I will keep trying, definitely worth it.

My only comment is that I wish they made the golf carts park at the beginning of each loop, and not be able to drive around the loops during trick / treating, it was very hectic in some of those center loops.

  • We made our Halloween 2015 reservations in June of this year just to make sure we could get them.
  • We were there last year.We saw more decorations there than in our home town. Some people go all out.Plus, they have trick or treat night in the Magic Kingdom. If you dress up,there are certain places you can go to get treats.Great time and you can't beat the weather that time of year.Last year,it was 80 with low humidity and no rain.We were in the 400 loop and could walk to the landing, the pool and Hoop De Do Review.
  • We are currently at the Fort and agree the Not so Scary Halloween party is great. Not sure who you talked to, but the don't normally sell the party tickets a year ahead. This past year the Halloween and Christmas party tickets went on sale about May 1. They don't announce when the sale date will be so I check every day about then. We also currently have ten days in the WDW campground for the Chrismas party, plus the party tickets. We bring our grandsons up each year for both. If you are talking about the campground being full, just keep trying, as they will open loops when the occupancy reaches a certain level.
