Fort Wilderness largest sites?

I think the 1200 loop is your best bet... There is an app called fort wilderness sites... It will tell you the size of the sites in each loop and the difficulty backing into them...There are pictures of most sites.

Personally, As far as the premium loops go(700 is one) I feel the 700 has the most easy back-ins of any loop-the 600 may have it beat now but other than the newer half of the loop most of the sites are not very deep...which can screw you up with the fiver since you need 20' to park your truck in addition to the trailer's space. You might want to look towards the back of the campground(16-1900) Having a golf carts almost makes these sites a no brainer-and they're cheaper too! Remember, you need to specify grade of site and whether you have pets when making the reservation.

This place was built when a 30' RV was huge-and they've done their best to accommodate big rigs but the loop roads are only so big...when it's busy and people park right up to the edge of the road(or even on it!) things can get very tight. There are definitely big sites with access on every loop that your truck/trailer will work on.

If you have a smartphone you can find an app that describes most sites and rates the ease of back-in, I don't totally agree with the rating but the dimensions look aok...search like 'sites at the fort app'

Premium loops are the largest pads, as for getting into the site, that is luck of the draw on the loop location as for as ingress/egress. But I found that most are fine as long as your neighbor across the way (if you have one) has parked in their site and not straddling the loop road.

Out of all the times and loops I have been there, I think the 1400 loop location (could not get a preferred or premium site) was the hardest to get into, but I still managed. The 500 and 300 loops sites I got, I have so far I lucked out the site was on a curve making backing in super easy.

JamesBr. I need a site like that on a curve. With a 43 foot Toy Hauler plus another 20 feet or more of truck I need plenty of manuevering room. I see some of the sites as you enter or exit the loop are easier to get into. Last time I was there I was in the 600 loop and my site was on a curve but on the wrong side. It took me forever to manage it into the site.

I have watched my friend each year pull his 38' montana in without problem even in what I would consider next to impossible. Sure it took some movement to get it set as he wanted, but first he backed into the site aiming for center, then pulled forward and worked the trailer over to drivers left towards the power and water rather quickly.

I just moved from the bus to the 5er, I will be arrive there after dark, so my fingers are crossed I get an easy site back into. Otehrwise, ill take my time.

Did I miss something? I have reservations at Fort Wilderness and was told that I can not reserve a site. I have a Preferred site and I did request a loop and was allowed to request a location near the buss stop. My understanding is that at check in they ask the size of your unit then assign a site.

I have requested a specific site in the past and they accommodated me.

'requests can be noted but are not guaranteed' is the normal Disney response...generally, during busy times it can be very difficult for them to put you on a specific site but at slower times it may be very possible to meet your request.
