14KM (8.7 miles) the worlds longest on freshwater??? Not even remotely close! I wonder where you got that "longest freshwater beach" stat from?
An 8.7 mile long freshwater pure sand beach on Georgian Bay is nice but tiny and far from the longest freshwater pure sand beach in the world! The continous pure sand beach where we live in West Michigan on Lake Michigan is over 200 miles long! It goes from in Indiana to Leland (northwest of Traverse City) (approx 280 miles). Have boated every inch of it over the last 52 years of my 72 years and it's pure clean golden whiteish sand the whole way. The Michigan Lake Huron side also has beaches with pure sand a lot longer than 8.7 miles also. There's also pure sand beaches on Lake Michigan in the U.P. that are a lot longer than 8.7 miles. The 5 Great Lakes are ALL fresh potable water. Many private CG's, local public CG's and State Parks with CG's all the way on the beaches.
