Full Time Year Round RV Parks/Grounds in Central Arizona?

That's what I'm interested in to remain in Arizona, Yavapai County. I'm not looking for rv camp grounds where we'd have to leave every 2 weeks but a full time location to park and live in the RV or camper (haven't decided which yet so both/either!).

Does anyone know of any that are safe, decent, and have amenities? And that are family friendly? If so, what are the general rates?

Thanks!
  • That's a hard question. You're talking mainly of Prescott or Cottonwood. The only one I can think of that might be family-friendly is Point of Rocks RV in Prescott. I'm not sure if they have permanent yearly rates. You'd have to check with them. There are others that are 55+ age but mostly the parks are not very nice, except the national forest campgrounds. Hope you find something.
  • Rancho Verde RV Park....CampVerde

Stayed there for 3 months while house hunting in Verde Valley Area.

About 4 miles to Camp Verde (Fork Verde....Montezuma Castle)
    About 15 miles to Cottonwood.
About 28 miles to Sedona (I-17/179) or 34 miles via 89A thru Cottonwood
About 25 miles to Jerome via Cottonwood
  • Here are a couple of nice alternatives for you.

  • I found a place by searching Craigslist and putting "Horse" in the search section of rentals. I lived on a 2 acre ranch for 4 years in Lakeside CA.

Perhaps you can search your area the same way?

  • Camp verde has the Zane grey park HERE. Very nice park a short way from town. Plenty of shade, full hookups. We start and end the summer trip there usually.

  • Thanks!

Missing the desert. We're most at home in Yavapai, so I'm definitely going to look into all these.
