Galveston TX area parks
Looking for a park on / close to the water in mid to late January. Is the Galeston SP of value? Do you have good recommendation based upon your experience? Thanks

This is quite a ways from Galveston, but a lot of people don't know that Sea Rim State Park is now open again. It was closed for years due to hurricane damage but it is open now, right at the top of the Texas gulf coast near Port Arthur. Even if a person intends on continuing to Galveston it's nice knowing this park is open - and providing lots of nice beach access.
