Gettysburg area campground
Plan to visit Gettysburg in June. Looking for nice RV park we can use as a base for exploring the National Park. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You said RV park so maybe you won't like my suggestion. Pine Grove Furnace State Park is about 20 miles northwest of Gettysburg. They have sites with electric hookups,new bath houses,a small store and 2 lakes for swimming with a brand new bath house snack bar at the one.There are water hydrants in each loop and a dump station. It is the half way point on the Appalachian trail.There is a former POW camp nearby. You can buy a book on it at the visitor center and there is a map if you want to take a self guided tour and see what's left.
