Gettysburg area campground
Plan to visit Gettysburg in June. Looking for nice RV park we can use as a base for exploring the National Park. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Agree with schlep1967 - it may be pretty tough getting a spot anywhere in a CG in the Gettysburg area. Our pick is Gettysburg CG. Nice place, clean, quiet and run by folks to take pride in their business. Yes, sites along the creek are really nice. Next would be the Gettysburg KOA - also very nice but we found the sites to be a bit snug.
We crossed Drummer Boy off of our list in 2007 after the corporate hyenas took over. Granite Hill - perhaps the only CG in which we were treated rudely by the staff. Have not stayed at Artillery Ridge or Round Top. Good luck, enjoy & safe travels.
