Good CG in the Mt. Washington Area?

We plan to visit Mt. Washington sometime this summer. What are your good picks for a CG in the area? Need full-hookups; other amenities don't matter. And yes, I also use rvparkreviews.

Thanks.
  • About an hour east, on the other side of the Kankamangus(sp) highway, which made for a pleasurable trip,(without towing!) is Danforth Bay CG. Its on a smaller lake that feeds into Lake Ossipee. We used it as home base and then went exploring. Without FHU, there are a couple of parks, however we need FHU. If you go I would highly recommend Yankee BBQ. Best BBQ north of the Mason Dixon Line!

We reserved a waterfront sight which provided for only one neighbor and a view of the water through the trees. Would go there again.

    Happy Trails!
  • hi! there are many good campgrounds in the area...a great place to start is the white mountain visitor center in lincoln nh. they are the go to place for every answer (well almost).

lost river family campground, in north woodstock is nice. it's on rt 112, about 2 miles from lost river gorge & 4 miles off 93. close to woodstock & lincoln. close to franconia state park. rt. 112 is the "kanc" which is amazingly beautiful.

Are you wanting Mt. Washington on Vancouver Island BC or in New Hampshire?
Just a guess, but I'd say NH, probably because 99 % from the east coast have never heard of Mt Washington near Spokane or Vancouver, just as I'm sure most from the west coast haven't heard of Mt. Washington, NH.
We stayed at Apple Hill in Bethlehem, but many folks wouldn't as it definitely Not a resort type, it is functional, & cheap with Passport America. Basically, it was a place to sleep for us, as we were gone all day touring.

  • We will be staying at Tally-Ho in Twin Mountain for a couple of days in July. Taking the Grandson to ride the Cog Railway one day and explore Crawford Notch another.
  • I wonder if you are not getting any responses because you haven't given the location (state/country) of the Mt. Washington you are talking about. The first one that I think of is on the outskirts of Spokane, Washington; but I bet many states have a Mt. Washington.
