For Georgia, consider F. D. Roosevelt Sate Park in Pine Mountain, GA. Great hiking, lake, swimming pool, and on a high plateau that will give you a taste of mountains. Water and electric sites on the lake and in wooded areas. Locally is Wild Animal Safari, which is a drive through zoo with exotic animals and a petting zoo. FDR's Little White House has been preserved and an adjacent museum is very well done and entertaining to kids as well. Lots of antique shops and neat little places to eat.
