Hocking Hills KOA Review

It's Sunday morning of our last day here at Hocking Hills KOA in Logan Ohio and am sad to be leaving. We've discovered this campground a few years back and have been extremely happy we did!! This is a wonderful campground to stay in. The sites are huge and the campground is meticulously kept. The owners and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Everything is kept extremely clean and well maintained. I can't say enough about this place! The few complaints some may have is something out of the owners control. The drive up into the place is steep and very bumpy but we've found out that it is a county road that the owners have asked repeatedly to fix but to no avail. The campground itself is hilly but I think it adds to the character of the place! It's really a beautiful place to stay and just down the road from some fantastic hiking. I highly recommend this place! Side note on a couple restaurants: Pizza Crossing in Logan is fantastic and highly recommended. Also if traveling down to the Lake Hope area, Mama Renie's in McArthur is also recommended for the food and friendliness of the staff! Overall a wonderful trip and highly recommended!
  • Oh, forgot to mention that cell phone service isn't great but attainable at the top of the hill (at least for us with Verizon). This is a problem in the area itself but thought to mention it. One solution we found that helps when keeping in touch with others is the online texting through Verizon since we had the campgrounds satellite service.

Also another reason why this place is great for us too is that we have a 38' FW and they have quite a few sites that will fit us!!

From the tent sites to the full hookup Deluxe sites, everything is well maintained!
  • We agree about the campground and owners, great place and people.

The entrance hill road is a bit of a climb but it's short so just take it slow.

Another place to eat is Millstone BBQ at US 33 Logan. Great BBQ and sweet cornbread!

Fall color there should be near peak the last of September into the middle of October.
