Idaho trip to Couer d'Alene

We are planning a trip to Idaho Mid May with 1st stop in Homedale to visit friends for a few days. Then plan to head up 95 to Coeur d'Alene. Any suggestions for great campgrounds on the way and where to stay in Coeur d'Alene area ?? We are in no big hurry so no problem stopping within 3-4 hrs. Thanks for your help :B

    Thanks so much again. Hells Gate SP sure looks nice and may be the place to stop on our way up. Should we plan a couple days there ?? I checked the website and it appears that most sites are walk up only at that time of year. I'm thinking getting a spot should not be a problem in Mid May.
