LAZY DAYS PROBLEM

Camped here in a trailer with 10 other adults in five rigs on June 15-17. It thunder stormed everyday and the grass was very high. It could have been cut. The power went out off and on Sun. between 4 & 8 am. The shuttle was grossly inadequate. This was Fathers Day weekend. There was a schedule given out but the only thing that looked good to us was candy bar bingo. It was to begin 4pm on the 16th.
We all gathered at the hall about ten of four along with other adults and roughly 15 children. 4 o'clock came and went. No bingo. At 4:15 I went to the registration office spoke with the acting mgr. Kimberly. She informed me it would start at 4. Fifteen minutes ago. The lady behind the desk told me she would be there after she finished with the customer in front of her.
At 4:30 lady from desk shows up and lets us know it has been cancelled. They are out of candy. We could have lived with that but the children were very disappointed.
Next day the absentee mrg. Jason rolls in we are in the hall and all ten of us inform him of the situation. He vehemently refutes what we individually tell him and say Kimberly would never do such a thing.
Somebody needs to do some splaining.
We will not return.
  • TWise, we're sorry you had a disappointing trip. Some tips that might help you and others in the future:
Have a plan B: weather and human error happens on trips as you found out. Have a backup event or activity if Plan A fails.

Give your review of the campgrounds at Allstays Campgrounds website, Tripadvisor, and other rv websites. It does help others find better camping experiences.

Was this campground the one in Tallahassee or the one in Tampa?
  • Why on earth would you set up a group camp at a RV dealer, and expect to be entertained?

    We will not return.
a good choice...that's why we have wheels so we can move on down the road where there is some candy

  • Well I can understand your frustrations but in actuality Lazy Days is in the business of selling RV's not the in campground business They really have that as a courtesy for new RV buyers. With that said it does get 4 out of 5 stars in reviews.
  • Well, at least I know who's causing all this rain now! I'd complain to the manager, but he most likely would vehemently refute it.
