Looking for info for Camping at Dover Int Speedway Nascar

Have you looked on line? The NHRA drags in Las Vegas have very good info on line. At Vegas the advantage of a reserved space over un-reserved is being able to get close to friends.

I've stayed at Dover 3 years in a row. But that was back around 2005. Things might have changed...but here's what I did: I called the main phone number of the track. Got information about their "dry" camping facilities....just across the street from the main entrance. They were called "Parking # 1, Parking #2...and I think "Parking # 3. I was told I could most likely arrive before 5AM on the Saturday before the race and I would get a spot with little to no trouble. The brochure I got quoted a real low price for camping (20?). I got to the track just about dawn...and pulled into Lot # 1. All they had was parking on some asphalt driveway. Didn't want that. Went to Lot #2. They had openings. BUT $60! When I showed the guy the brochure, he said "Do I want to walk a mile or just across the street"? Logic, m'man...logic. Paid the 60 bucks and was taken to what all their sites seemed to be...flat and on grass. Dry camping now...no water or electricity. Honey wagon comes around...ice and water trucks come around...and the track....right there. A bonus....you got the phone number of the operator...and if you called about 30 days before the race, your site was yours. Did that 2 more times. Worked out great. But...like I said, things MIGHT have changed. g'luck!

Done the bridge many times. It is a high one. Toll eastbound only. Done Killens Pond SP many times also. Never on a race weekend. Traffic around track area must be pure mayhem.

Call the track ticket office.
They will be more than happy to answer ALL of your questions AND walk you through finding the camping space maps online.

Did the bridge last April on a trip from Andrews AFB to Dover AFB.

It's high - but if it is windy, there will be warnings. If it is dangerous, they will stop high profile vehicles from getting on the bridge.

The bridge is safe and not a steep grade, and as mentioned the toll is one way - eastbound. We obtained an EZ-Pass for our northeast trip in 2016, and my toll - TV & two axle trailer - was $18 with EZ-Pass.

What about size of the spaces? What parking areas are the best to be close to the track and all the trailers?

Excellent link. All you need to know right there. Combine it with Google Earth & you might as well be right there.
