Miami Campground

Planning a trip to Miami week after Christmas and would like a recommendations on a good beachfront park. Never been to Miami.
  • Palm Beach County park --->

We got in here for Christmas week, gets RAVE reviews:

    ~ John Prince Park ~

Not directly on beach, but not far from the beaches.

Try one of the Broward County parks. Markham, CB Smith or (don't remember the name of the other one) They are not close to the beach, maybe 1/2 hour, but they are nice. Markham is west of Ft Lauderdale and right on the edge of the everglades. They book up early for the winter months, but you might get a week. If you can't find something there, you may want check Yacht Harbor near the airport. If you get desperate, you can come up to our park near Sebring. They most always have sites available, although you would be about 1 1/2 to 2 hours from the beach. Remember, the last week of December, even in South Florida can be cool, especially at night. We're about an hour south of Disney World. If you're interested call Jan at Lake Letta RV Park (863) 453-7700.

Thank you very much....we always plan these Christmas trips in haste but usually end up in great places thanks to this forum. My wife is always ready to go somewhere after trying to accomodate all our adult children's schedules to have a few hours together.....seems to become more stressfull each year.....Yuk!

We'll, in that case, there's a bunch of options.

Since you're coming down from VA, there's several beachfront, and very close to beachfront spots in the Jacksonville FL area.

Further south there's a bunch in the Flagler Beach to Titusville area.

I would suggest you have a read through a bunch of the reviews and reports.

Beachfront in the Miami area? Good luck..

I think the nearest 'beachfront' RV park in all of south Florida is many hours north or west of there.

Thanks.....my wife just informed me she didn't care where it was as long as it's warm.
