Concur. We stayed at Dockweiler RV park in 2014 for a couple of nights. And we didn't even find the jets that noisy. Certainly didn't keep me up at night.
There is another LA campground up at Van Nuys, called Balboa RV Park. We stayed there for 4 nights. It's very tight, not a lot of room. So tight in fact, if you have a trailer, you drop the trailer at the office, and campground people use a fork lift with a ball on it, to put the trailer into it's proper site.
We liked Balboa because it was fairly central to Warner Bros Studio, Reagan Library in Simi Valley, and the Mulholland Drive, etc.

If you want to be at the beach and just a place to stay while doing some sightseeing there is always Dockweiler State beach
Very close to LAX and can get a bit noisy but not really that bad and the views are great and it is freeway close.
