"Not TT but thanks for your suggestion"
No poster so far has suggested a TT only park. And what RV park could survive only for TTs?
TT = Thousand Trails. A campground membership. - southernskyExplorerWe went to Crater Lake a couple a couple month ago and stayed at Collier State Park. Nice place and there is a logging museum.
- NCWriterExplorerJoseph Stewart State Recreation Area is in the Crater Lake area, though a bit of a drive. Nice place, stayed there at the end of May.

Us out West, a few questions for you. This looks like a great spot. Will I be able to get back onto 35 and head South to 26 with my 42' 5th wheel, safely? How close to Mt Hood is this park? Can I do a day trip from this park to get closer to Mt Hood?
First the entrance to TollBridge Park is just off the 35...we have a 40' 5th wheel and no problems.
To Mt. Hood is only about 32 miles south on the 35 from TollBridge so a day trip should not be a problem.
We came in from Silver Lake WA. to Hood River on I-84 then the 35 north to TollBridge. That is also the way we went out and took I-84 East so can't help you with the 26 south off the 35 near Mt. Hood. - ORbikerExplorer

After the eclipse is over wood like recommendations for RV parks around Mt. Hood and Crater Lake for our 42 ft. 5th wheel. Your favorite spots would be appreciated. Would like to visit both area.
Thanks in advance for your recommendations.
After the eclipse, don't get in a hurry to go anywhere. It's going to be a big traffic jam everywhere in Oregon. There is an extra 1,000,000 people in Oregon.
Most of the time I would say go to Crater Lake. Right now is not the best time to go. The west rim road was closed recently because of a forest fire, but is now open. Most of the west rim road is also under reconstruction. It will be smoky.

Tollbridge Park in Parkdale Oregon is situated near the base of Mt. Hood and is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful parks in the country.
Offers 85 campsites, 2 covered shelters, a day use area with a playground, on 100 acres and adjacent to the Hood River. 20 full hookup RV sites, 45 are partial hookup RV sites, and 20 are tent sites.
