- HalmfamilyExplorerAt Oak Mountain now and it is packed, did not expect that. Anyhow, they have repaved all of the roads and sites over the fall and early winter. We are in site A21, our second favorite site next to A23 and it is spot on level now, big improvement.
- mikestockExplorerMidweek in May should be no problem. You can't reserve a specific site there anyway. I agree that the "A" side is more open. Only reason for preferring the "B" side is that the children's playground it closer. Most RV sites are full hookup but some are W-E only.
- cruise-aderExplorerhope to get there this year. Looks great.
- Limit4ExplorerThanks, My wife loves waterfalls.
- AlabamaTravelerExplorerIf you like waterfalls, don't miss Peavine Falls. It is at the top of the mountain with a short easy walk.
- Limit4ExplorerThank' for the info. We will be getting there mid-week so I don't think I will make a reservation.
- HalmfamilyExplorerWe are heading there on Friday for a couple of days. This is my kids favorite place to camp. Campground is nice, state park is beautiful with lots to do and a ton of shopping and restaurants close by.
We prefer the "A" section, more room between sites. Some sites are tight for larger units but we have yet to not get our 40' fiver into a site. Reservations are not needed but I would recommend as it will fill quick on weekends. Cannot reserve a particular site.
Have fun and welcome to Alabama, home of the Rednecks.... - Pine_BarrenExplorerWe stayed there about 6 ears ago it was a very nice park with alot of sites. Just about all of them were had shade.
- Dog_FolksExplorerA beautiful park. we stay there whenever we are passing trough. Don't know if reservations are required as we always make them. Lots of sites.
