Opening of National Parks, Forests & State Parks

For us gearing up for camping once lockdown is lifted.

I imagine it will take a lot of searches as the opening will be phased based on some local health metrics.

Let's be of service of one another to announce here if you local public park is opening or has opened,.

    He need to go to NYC hospital and volunteer in the ICU ,CCU and the ER with out PPE as he thinks this is " BOGUS "

    MY wife took care of people in the CCU & ICU for 33 years and no doctors or nurses died some may have gotten sick but not many and this was doing the H1N1 ( Swine Flu ).

    Hope that his family doesn't gets this C19 because of his BS.

    Good news! Entrance fees to National Parks are suspended.

    The catch? If they are open.

    Some already opened for day-use. So call them first.

    I didn't understand first because everyone know camping is a low density recreation. Even less congested than golf that most states already allowed.

    But then it dawn on me than unless everyone is in full feature RV, the campground had to provide cleaning services and those toilets, dumps, fresh water sources, etc are sure depositories of the virus that will put their ranger and maintenance employees at risk.

    But I would actually understand why the state government has done that and why states in certain region would want a uniform approach to pandemic mitigation.

    Some states can be successful with their program and some state governments are simply incompetent, have spotty mitigation or even Covid denier where thee travellers can then can spread contagion to their own citizens.


    I get it.... I do, just a but bummer on how they did it.... if they would have told us 2 weeks ago, we would be able to make other reservations... Now we have less than a week to book multiple sites on a Holiday weekend,,, Nobody can tell me that it will be safer walking on their boardwalks than sitting on my site under my awning 60' from anyone..
