Well we just was stood up by Delaware....
they made an announcement last night that they would open the beaches and boardwalks for walking and exercise this weekend.
That sounded positive to us.. fast forward to 10 minutes ago - phone just rang, our spots ( 5 ) at Delaware Seashore State Park are all cancelled with full refunds...
They said unless we were Delaware citizens, we could not visit the state for less than 14 days..
so they opened up the economy, and kept the travel ban in place to restrict the out of towners . . .
SO.. if you live in Delaware and want some GOOD, front row sites on the north side, grab them now and enjoy,... Your Welcome...
Sorry man........
I just popped onto their website. By far the most restrictive opening I have seen so far. Look at the bright side.....you're not allowed to do a hell of a lot anyway.
"until the public health threat of COVID-19 has been eliminated"
Which may, and most likely be,..........never.
Yea, we were all excited last night when we heard that the beaches and boardwalk were opening this week with restrictions.... AND for 2 months now, they had a not on their site saying that all reservations will resume May 15th...- Yosemite_Sam1Explorer

Sorry this happened. to you.
But I would actually understand why the state government has done that and why states in certain region would want a uniform approach to pandemic mitigation.
Some states can be successful with their program and some state governments are simply incompetent, have spotty mitigation or even Covid denier where thee travellers can then can spread contagion to their own citizens. - GDS-3950BHExplorer

- Yosemite_Sam1ExplorerSo Smoky Mountain National. Park opened today.
Any news for other national parks and forests? - azdryheatExplorerWe just got home from a week of camping in Williams AZ (on Rte 66 west of Flagstaff), a great place to visit in normal times. We did a lot of RZR riding on the trails in Kaibab National Forest, south of Williams.
Driving throughout the national park we found it was absolutely loaded with boon-docking campers. Lots of toy haulers and trailers in groups. The RV park area was closed but nothing else was. There was also logging going on. Busy national forest but not closed.
Unlike the high temps in the Phoenix area, Williams was in the mid-70s and the off-road riding was tremendous. If you ever make it there go to the top of Bill Williams Mountain and also Summit Mountain. The views are incredible. We also made sure we supported the businesses in Williams during this so-called crises. - Yosemite_Sam1ExplorerTip for those itching to go out.
If roads into BLM or USDA lands are not posted closed or blocked (usually with big rocks, lol), then you can camp. Just maintain the usual Covid protocols for everyone to be safe and good camper practices.
Word of mouth seems not very useful nowadays as like fishermen and hunters, they are keeping their secrets close to their chests -- understandably, they don't want their spots overrun and attract authorities to close it down seeing abuse. - Yosemite_Sam1Explorer

In the news is that Modoc County is opening today,
Checked from the county website for a confirmation. None so far.
Besides, most of the campgrounds are National Forest. Again, this will be subject to Federal or Agency guidelines that according to their press release will be phased opening.
Wish us all luck!
I believe The Likely Place RV & Golf is open for business. It may not be some campers cup of tea but this is one of my favorite places on earth. That can't be because I was raised there, about 80 miles north.Just love that RV Park...
It's logical that they first open the outdoor activities.
The golf course around are so green, ready and inviting.
Sad to see it's empty. What a waste! LOL - ramyankeeExplorer
