Don't know if it helps, but we booked site# 854. I wanted a site with my door facing the water, but after booking this site facing away from the water i should be able to have my awning out quite a bit due to the wind being on the back side of the trailer. I realize i will still have to watch it but not as much. Can anyone confirm this?
And as i was looking at it on Google Earth i noticed what looked like an RV storage lot? Across the street. If so that is ALOT of RV's!!!!:E
For wind. It really doesn't matter which way you are facing. It's about the same. We always get a site facing the ocean, to get the evening shade. And unless there is a really, really, bad storm. We leave the awning out all week.
And that is not just at PL. But OL, and LW as well. Seems the wind usually doesn't come straight in off the ocean. It seems to blow up more from the South. So it is actually blowing across the awning, and not into it. Watch the kites. You see then flying to the North, or UP the beach.
