We used to live in Sparks, so we are familiar with most parks. For easy access the Grand Sierra rv park is best, flat and wide streets, right off I 80. We stayed at Shamrock last year and it's a little tight but ok for a big rig. Bordertown is a little too far north and Gold Ranch is a little too far west, in my opinion. Other posters suggestions for activities are good. My son lives in Truckee, just over the state line in CA, there's a cute downtown area there. From Truckee take Hwy 267 south down to Lake Tahoe. Take the 341 back to south Reno (over MT Rose Hwy). OR go further south and take Hwy 50 back to Carson City and see that quaint town then back north to Reno. That's a full day trip. OR you can go further south in Lake Tahoe to Hwy 206, that comes into Minden. All good options in a vehicle, not an rv.
