- kohldadExplorer IIISouth of Atlanta will also recommend High Falls State Park.
Just in case you decide you want to stop north of Atlanta, would recommend Red Top Mountain, another nice GA state park. - dockmasterdaveExplorerWe recently stayed at this place. On a river, right near the Suwanee river. Restaurant and bar on premises. Boat ramp and dock. I'll go back.
It's off 75 just south of the the Florida border.

KOA at Forsyth will meet your needs.
We have used this park a few times for overnights and have been happy with it all but the last time. For an overnight stop I can overlook a lot of things, but don't put me in a site that is too narrow for me to open all my slides. They quickly moved me to another site and all was well. Plan to stay here again in Feb and Sept of 2015 for overnights. - LamanExplorerGoes to show how opinions differ, KOA at Forsyth is one campground I will never stay at again. Sites were tight, road rough and lots of interstate noise. Also when I told them I wanted just a quick overnight they put me into a site right behind the office that required two very sharp turns which required me to almost rub pine trees on both sides of the coach. Now that was two years ago maybe things have changed.
Twin Oaks would be my choice. - JoeHExplorer IIIWe have used the KOA at Forsythe as well as a place called Atlanta South ... both are right off the interstate and make for an easy in/out
- jkmcmomExplorerYou might want to check out Twin Oaks at Elko. Right off I-75 south of Macon. They are Passport America so the price is even better! Check them out on rvparkreviews. We're going to be there in a couple of weeks. Caring owners, clean park with activities right there at the park. (horse shoes, other outdoor games; pool)

High Falls State Park is about 40 miles south of Atlanta and just a few miles off the interstate. There are 2 campgrounds but the Riverside Campground is much better for large rigs. They have a choice of back ins of pull throughs. Water and electric and nice bath houses.
This is our favorite stop on the way south and back north. - AdirondackJackExplorerX3 on Fair Harbor. We stopped there last Fall for 2 nights and checked out some heavy history in the area. http://snowbirdrvtrails.wordpress.com/2013/10/16/2013-trip-south-days-20-21-perry-georgia/
- rockhillmanorExplorer IIDitto on the KOA in Forsyth closer to Atlanta.
Further south stop off in Perry, GA. at Twin Oaks. It is my must stop at CG when heading to Florida. It's a small CG but it is clean, quiet and the owner is really nice. Also has a real nice comfortable TV room to kick back and relax in. I always ending up staying there a few days! :W - moonlightrunnerExplorerI-75 Exit 101, West 12 miles. Georgia Veteran's SP. W/E hookups. Dump station. Nice place for a break.
