- spoon059Explorer IIWe stayed at Savannah Oaks when we were down in February. It has average reviews, but we thought it was beautiful. Very close to downtown (about 10 minutes drive), bathrooms were nice, showers were decent. The park was pretty with the Spanish Moss everywhere. We enjoyed it.
For DC, the closest and easiest access is Cherry Hill. - TPUCExplorerSavanah GA Area Skid A Way Island State Park is nice big / HUGE sites Rivers End on Tybee Island way to small and tight.

It covers Cherry Hill, Bull Run and others. - VeebyesExplorer IIWell since you are coming from the south there is Bull Run Regional Park in Manasas. Far cheaper than Cherry Hill & not a far drive to the Metro.
- TeamfourExplorerWe are going to Skidaway near Savannah next month. It seems to get good reviews.
- Jim_ShoeExplorerCherry Hill Park in College Park, MD. is probably the most convenient to Wash. D.C. They have a shuttle that will take you to the Metro subway system. Don't even think about driving in D.C.
