Shrinking Canadian dollar
Wondering how the state of the Canadian dollar will effect other Canadians travel plans. It has made our site rental jump from $3,200 American to a payment of $4,022.60 Canadian. ouch!

John and Angela,
I don't see how your "Shuffle" will work. According to the information in the link, the rule is the 90/180....... in other words you can only be in a Schengen visa area for a max of 90 days and then you must be out of the Schengen area for at least 180. Most of Europe is Schengen.

The talk about low priced US campgrounds is rather misleading.
We are presently in a park in Michigan.
The cost for two nights, with Good Sam discount is
$109.80.
Add twenty five percent for exchange, sort of pricy!

I am OK I have dual British/Canadian citizenship & an EU passport. I find however that is faster to use the foreign line in EU airports, the EU citizen lineups are far longer.

Regarding wintering in Europe. Would those who advocate this please explain how they would handle the 90 day Schengen rule? Below are a few links to info but my understanding is you are limited to 90 days unless you receive a visa for more from a specific country.
I have been to Schengen countries and been advised to make sure I get an entry and exit stamp in my passport that are 90 or fewer days apart. I was told not doing so can create a problem........ such as refused entry the next time I attempted to enter.

It looks like in a month or two we will be wishing the Loonie was at Today's rate. I am wondering if it will surpass that 65 cent range and hit 50 cents! Without getting political the only intervention from the Feds has caused even more problems! At this rate Yuma will not be very crowded! Nut not to worry as we are being told that Canada is NOT in a recession.
