Standing Indian Campground Franklin, NC

I am looking for information on Standing Indian Campground near Franklin, NC. I made a reservation through the .gov website and the only site left was #69 in Loop 5. I am hoping that the site is big enough for our 30 ft TT. (If the picture of the site is correct then I think we will be okay.) What has me a little worried is that there is a bit of information that sort of describes the sites as being the "best for tent campers". I don't think it necessarily is saying that they are "only" for tent campers. When I did the search, I chose "RV Sites" so I assume that since it came up it is really an RV site. Can anyone that is familiar with Loop 5 tell me about it?
Thank you in advance for your responses.

  • In the photo of the site it appeared to have enough room, but it showed a tent and a truck so I just wanted to be sure it was also an RV site. It just makes me feel better to hear that you have parked in the Loop before with an RV. I think I will just just attempt a phone call like magnusfide suggested to be sure.

Thank you both for your replies.
  • Did you look at the photos of the campground on Reserve America? I don't recall site # 69 specifically but we have parked on that loop several times and all the sites are spacious and level. Standing Indian is a great area, lots of good hiking. lizzie

In your position I would call the campground directly and ask. I get their local number from a whitepages or other internet search.
