My favorite places in St Louis -
The Budweiser Brewery (free). This is the original.
Grant's Farm (free). Clydesdales, a zoo, a tram ride, and a Bavarian courtyard with free beer !
The St Louis Zoo (free).
Visit 'The Hill' for great Italian restaurants.
Table Rock Lake is a great place. Nice state park. Visit the nearby trout hatchery. I was told by a COE Ranger that there are no tours of the dam due to security concerns.
Arkansas - If you are in the western part of the state, consider staying at Crater of Diamonds SP. A real nice campground but the attraction is that you can search for diamonds and keep what you find. I think they are up to about 500 so far this year.
