We have reservation in the beginning of March. Premier Site in loop 200. Pet Friendly..
I also requested a cable internet connection as it's a working vacation and my laptop can not use wireless due to encryption.
Just checked out of the 200 loop today. We've stayed in that loop many times. It is a preferred loop, which is smaller than the Premium loops. The only preferred loops are 100, 200 and 300; and only 300 is a pet loop. However, as overbooking of the pet loops seems to occur often, there are often a couple of pets in the 200 loops, but not many.
If you have a large rig, you may want to change to a Premium site. While the campsites are very nice, the Preferred loops can be a bit tight for backing into your spot. The biggest issue is not hitting anything across the street with the front of your vehicle while backing in. The Premium sites are much easier to back into. - Our favorite loop is the 700... Pet friendly and rather large ... It is a Premium loop
- mgirardoExplorerWe've stayed at the Full Hook-ups, Preferred and Premium sites (there are no Premier sites at FW). They are all nice sites. There are small Premium sites and there are large Full Hook-up sites. Now that all the sites have cable and therefore internet access (with Cable Modem from the Meadows Trading Post) I can't see spending the extra money for a Preferred or Premium site. Generally, you won't be able to reserve a Tent/Pop-up site (Partial Hookups) if you don't have a tent or a Pop-up. However, they will let tents & pop-ups in the Full Hookup, Preferred and Premium sites.
Premium sites have nicer charcoal grills and picnic tables, they also have more asphalt and less coquina (sp?) - shell filled sand. The Preferred sites have a little bit more asphalt than the Full Hookup sites, but the same picnic table and grill as the Full Hookup sites.
We've stayed in most of the loops at Fort Wilderness (excluding the cabin only loops) and the only one we didn't like is the 300 loop. It's across from the dog park and the 300 loop is usually full of dog owners. We usually don't go into the parks when we go to Disney, so sitting around the camp site listening to all the dogs trapped in their RVs bark gets annoying quickly.
One of our favorite loops is the 1400 loop. It's a Premium loop that is a short bike ride to both the Outpost and Settlement. It's a quick walk to the pool and the Meadows Trading Post. Backing into some of the sites in 1400 can be tight if you have a long Trailer.

- intheburbsExplorerFirst time we camped there, we were in the 100 loop. Great location, short stroll to the beach and dock. Vegetation provided a natural barrier with the foot traffic.
- justaboutretireExplorerWhen the kids were little we always stayed in the the 1400 loop. This loop is next to the outdoor movie theater and chip and dale camp fire. I always went for the premier sites since we do not go there to often (3 times since 2000). If you are going to be there a couple of weeks I find it cheaper to by a season pass for $600.00 than a 10 day hopper pass for $725.00. The season pass is good for a year.

X'2 on this site, plus they have a app that gives a very good description of the size of the site where the hook ups are and how hard it is to back into the site - Beverley_KenExplorerI don't think that you can go wrong with any type or loop. Some loops are closer to the beach and boat transportation to Magic Kingdom, others are closer to the Meadows Recreation area and swimming pool.
There are 4 types of campsites, Premium, Preferred, Full Hookup and Partial Hookup (No Sewer connection). If you will be using a tent, you do not want a Premium site, there all concrete and no place to put the tent pegs.
We have camped in all 4 types, but not the partial since upgrading to TT and now MH. We take whatever is a available and never had a complaint.
