Never tip them.
"Happy Trails"
Chiefneon - VeebyesExplorer IINope. Found the CG after an all day drive. I think I can make the last few hundred feet on my own to the site.
Don't pay attention to golfcart guy anyway. He does not know about the special needs we have because of our type of sewer dump system. He is not paying for any damage caused by any misdirection.
Parking directions are the DW's job & she does them well. - GMandJMExplorerYes - when the "campsite concierge" goes above and beyond.
In Florida last year we were guided to a not-often-used site and the guy was showing us where to hook up water when he found a rather large bee or wasp nest inside the underground box. He took care of it immediately.
That young man earned his tip! - valhalla360NavigatorNO!!!
I can find my own spot and I've seen far too many "helpful" staff cause more problems than they solve. I don't want to encourage RV park owners to cut thier wages so the staff can go around the park begging. - NaioExplorer II

You're just jealous because you wish you had thought of it while you were still working! (JK) - magnusfideExplorer II

Thought of this while in traffic this morning. Does anyone tip the person the guides you to your campsite? I was thinking since it is a holiday weekend and they will be crazy busy, I may tip the person.
Maybe this is just for high end resorts?
No and no. - fj12ryderExplorer IIII've never considered it, and never would.
- Dog_FolksExplorerI do not. Many "guides" are required to do so as part of their job.
The campgrounds are doing that so that you do not damage the facilities while positioning your rig.
Believe it or not I watched a camper,(Too far away to offer assistance in time) drive OVER a water and electrical pedestal on a pull through site.
After doing so he then backed up and ran over it again even with the fountain of water he created!! - bgumExplorerI am old school. I tip in sit down resturants only. I have been known to not tip for poor service. All of these tip jars are nuts. I worked for a wage just like them and dealt with the public just like them. Having a tip jar on my desk would have been nuts. I understand their attitude if people are dumb enough to put money in my jar I am smart enough to provide the space.
- jplante4Explorer IICouple of bucks if he/she didn't back me into a tree. Saves the DW from needing to get out. Most times I'll get out and walk the site anyway.
