Where is a good campground to stay while sightseeing DC

Fairfax County Campground. It's a county park and has a campground. We were there many years ago as my wife's company headquarters moved to Reston, VA we visited the facilities.
Prices have gone up considerably since then. But it's a really nice park and campground. Also, it has a water park too. We spent an entire day at the water park.
Easy access to the Metro, but you do have to drive to get there. Once on the Metro, you can go anywhere.
