ith gas prices being what they are, if a park owner wants to keep his campground full, he'd be better off shooting for 35-40% of the local hotel room rates. The greedy owners will have spaces sitting empty.
I disagree. From my experience on here, there are not many that will trade a stay in their RV for a hotel room. RVing has less to do with money and more to do with a lifestyle. The money you save by not having to buy food out if you are in your RV will offset that extra 10-15 percent. Why do you consider the campground owners greedy? It's a BUSINESS not a charity. If you don't like their pricing, shop with your feet and go elsewhere, but to call them greedy because they want to run a profitable business is unfair.
