Location is key when considering pricing AND the time of year. A campground right off the freeway for an overnight $28-32 seems fair. When we are traveling to a destination more than a day away the DW and I like to stay at a campground one night and the next in a Wal-Mart or rest area. It seems that in just about any "tourist" area prices are between $48-$90. For instance if you want to stay near Naples or Orlando "in-season" $68-$90 is the norm. We really don't have a "tipping point" so when we want to do the tourist thing we know we will pay more.....if we want to relax for a week, two or a month, we find a camp that has some decent amenities like a pool, hot tub, nice grounds, a few activities and off the beat and path and we can easily find them for $28-35 per night even in season.
