Regarding permanent residents: two years ago we found a perfect spot for an overnight stay. Was mostly permanent residents and the office was closed for a short while. One of the permanent residents drove up in a golf cart, led us to a site, showed us the hookups and left saying, "She'll be back in the morning and you can pay then". Went back a year later and they remembered us. So not all permanent residents are bad and non-welcoming.
