I just spoke with the lady at Riverside RV, and she is going to have the lady that does the scheduling call me back, and see if they can fit us in. If they can't, then I might talk to hubby about just skipping this winter, and do a vacation in September in Destin. I just don't want to go down there and stay in a yucky place, just to say we are in Florida in February. :)

I had been looking at a place in Destin, and the place looked great. But, when I looked at their temps in January and February, I was like no way! That's too cold! LOL

Red Coconut in Fort Myers Beach if you can get in there. Lots of the parks on the water are already booked up for the winter season. You could also try San Carlos RV park in the same area but the sites aren't large.

You're probably already too late for beachfront reservations in February. My parents left the Keys early one year headed north and found RV parks along the east coast that had walk-ins available for 3 to 4 nights as a result of late cancellations or folks leaving early, but you're depending on luck.

Most decent parks are gong to be hard to get into very soon.
