Yuma, AZ

My husband and I are planning a visit to Yuma, AZ in mid December. since we have never been there we're wondering what area is best to stay and why; right in Yuma or in the foothill section or any other area. One place we are considering is on East County 17th St. and the other is in the foothill section. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  • I love the Foothills. We tried both many times and prefer the Foothills.
  • We prefer Dome Valley, the area east of the foothills, a nice farming area with less traffic and noise. We are in Wellton, Pioneer RV Park, just 19 miles east of Fortuna Blvd.
  • Cocopah Resort. No noise, no traffic, very secure.

    AND ..... very expensive :)
  • I live in the Foothills. There is a huge Fry's Market (which is really Kroger)many Dollar stores, dog grooming, nurseries, restaurants, A super WalMart is close.
It averages 1 degree warmer in the Foothills.
The views are breathtaking. The People are friendly.
I'm kinda a grouch, but I try to be nice.

E County 17th is close to the garbage dump and you will be inundated with flies.

You get what you pay for. Go to a cheap place and sit around all winter looking at each other and talking about all the money you are saving.......?????????????
  • Probably have as many amenities as you and as many activities as Cocopah at ½ the price. Who sets around, not me or others, at this RV park.
