Add a remote switch for an inverter?

I have a couple of pure sine wave inverters. They are bargain inverters; however, I find them to work well enough and they satisfy my needs. But I really wish I had a remote on/off switch for them. I have brainstormed some ideas for adding some type of remote switch but I'm thinking that others would have a better idea of the "best" way to do it. Can you give me some ideas? We pretty much just use the 300 watt inverter (600 watt surge rating), so that is the one I've been thinking of adding a remote to. But if it is a cheap and easy job I'd be interested in adding a remote to the 1500 watt one as well.

Thanks.
