I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I thought folks might be interested in seeing the shelves I added to our wardrobe. There are two shelves in the picture below. The shelves themselves are 1/4 inch luan plywood and are supported on 3/4"x1" support boards that run front to back and across the length of the back. These supports are screwed into the thin side and back walls with no glue of any kind. The front if the luan is reinforced with a strip of wood to prevent sagging. I installed these shelves 12 years ago and continue to be surprised that the screws are able to carry the load without pulling out of the thin plywood in the walls.
In addition to the shelves, the picture shows that DW packs to be ready for anything when we travel, whether for a week or several months.
