- tvman44ExplorerForstner bit or maybe a brad point bit and start slow. :)
- Dick_BExplorerand keep the drill speed down
- Cummins12V98Explorer IIII drilled a hole on mine with a regular hole saw. Steady pressure and it cuts like butter. No need for any lube it will plug the teeth.
- kalynzooExplorerAs noted by everyone above it is really not a problem. However, just to make yourself more comfortable, try stopping at a counter top installer/store and ask for a scrap of material. Then give it a go with your drill. You'll see it is easy and it will give you more confidence before you have a go at the counter.
- LeeknsteamExplorerGet a hole drill of the needed size with a pilot bit. A tablespoon of detergent mixed with a cup of water will give you all the lube you need to keep from melting the corian. Just apply it with your favorite basting brush and you'll good results!
- Peg_LegExplorerI like to use a center drill first for anything accurate or a with a chance of slipping.
- hersheyExplorerSuggest using a lubricant while drilling. Even just water...assuming your using a cordless drill.
- Dennis_M_MExplorerDrill a small pilot hole - smaller than the center drill on the hole saw - as a guide before you go with the hole saw.
- mark5wExplorerAll the above. Just like drilling thru wood but a harder surface. You can do it.
Don't push too hard when coming to the bottom of hole. - tplifeExplorerI'd put some duct tape down to secure the drill area and minimize scratches...
