What I did was get one of those foil sunshades intended for entry doors, put sticky backed Velcro on all 4 edges on one side, and also on the inside of the skylight. I removed the skylight screws one at a time and put the Velcro on, then put the screw back through the Velcro and the skylight. The glue won't hold in the summers heat, I still need to put an extra screw at each end of the Velcro, and stitch the Velcro to the sunshade. With it in place (my shower is in the bedroom) it blocks 98-99% of the light coming in, and makes it possible to take a nap. Remove it and you have extra light in the shower, and extra headroom. It *may* help with heating as the sunshade has a slight R value, and it does help with cooling as it reflects most of the heat back up in the summer.
