Good point, I think the vision issues are something that is easily overlooked. For us, once it's dark- our awning light and step light goes on. I've recently started this fuse trick, but have only done it once or twice depending on the campsite layout and if my rear lights would be facing other campers or not. However, for me, all lights go off when we turn in for the night.
